A Pinch of Salt 8.0 (Workshop)

TAKE NOTE: As per GFA tradition, this session is STILL a FREE session. However, due to the limited capacity of the workshop (9pax only), we will be taking a deposit of RM50 to lock in a slot for yourself on the 31st May. If you fail to attend, your deposit will be forfeited.


Prologue:

The Good Food Alliance is a support group of friends/restaurateurs that share a common goal of pushing each other to strive for excellence and do our part in contributing back to the F&B community via open dialogues and talks between fellow industry players and consumers alike. Within the Alliance are reputable restaurants and cafes the likes of Yellow Brick Road, The Red Beanbag, Strangers at 47, myBurgerLab, Table & Apron, Top Catch Fisheries, Inside Scoop, Mei by Fat Spoon, Copper and The Constant Gardener.


We organise monthly sharing sessions, ie 'A Pinch of Salt' with the intention of connecting like-minded individuals to share their experiences+stories of the Food and Beverage world. It doesn't matter if you are a customer, a business owner or staff, everyone is welcome to participate. The session is done in hopes of inspiring and motivating one another to leap forward to greater heights as small players in the industry.

This coming Wednesday, join Ning from Chocolate Concierge in an intimate workshop that is focused on our individual ability to perceive taste.
We will be exploring the questions that one should ask should they venture into the world of F&B:
• What is flavour?
• What is taste, and how do we taste?

In the first hour, your ability to taste will be first evaluated, and that will then be developed through a short introspective exercise during the workshop. We will discuss the importance and how of setting up an internal tasting panel as an F&B Operator.
The second half of the workshop is when you will kick back, enjoy and apply your activated senses to tasting some chocolates – blind.

Then bank in rm50 deposit to Maybank (acct: 1121 8406 6133) to Chin Ren Yi to secure your place. Email me at renyi@myBurgerLab.com once you've done so. You will be refunded in full on the day of arrival. If you do not show up or is late by 15 minutes, your deposit will be voided.

This session would usually cost you between rm50-100, But Ning is kind enough to host this workshop free of charge as a way to give back to the F&B community. If you're lucky, we might have some Ice Cream for tasting too!
